any non-standard carrier like progressive should insure you, but it will be VERY expensive. How much depends on a lot of other factors, like the rest of your driving history, age, car, coverages, where you live, etc. you’ll have to call around f/ quotes.

Auto insurance is to protect against an accident where no one really did anything to deliberately cause it, other than perhaps a momentary distraction, carelessness, something unexpected like tire blow out & not able to control the steering.

Drinking to excess, then getting behind the wheel of a vehicle … this is not considered to be a personal misfortune of a person without self-control, it is considered to be criminal negligence.

You cannot get insurance against this.

It is like running low on money, getting desperate, getting a gun and doing a stick up of a bank or store, and thinking you can get “armed robbery insurance” to protect you from the consequences of your actions.

The victim of the robbery can get insurance, not the person who perpetrates it.

The person a DUI person crashes into can have insurance against this, not the person who is DUI.
